Always seems like such a hit or miss category. What are some great books that have been made into movies that really hit the nail on the head and didn't disappoint? or vice versa?

two of my favorites are Ghost World (actually adapted from Daniel Clowes' comic Ghost World) and Fight Club. It really did a bang up job of bringing Palahniuk's writing to life. Memory Keeper's Daughter has been made into a feature length film as well from what I understand, wonder how that will go over.

Ghost World was great. Did you see Art School Confidential? I'd like to see one of his more out there comics get made into a movie. Like Happy Fisherman haha. I'm surprised nothing's been done with David Boring yet.

I think most of the time book to movie is done terribly. Clockwork Orange is probably my favorite. Running with Scissors and Girl, Interrupted were both done well too. I'm in the middle of reading The Memory Keepers Daughter right now. I saw that Lifetime is turning it into a movie, which I was excited about, but its airing this Sunday night and I usually like to wait until I finish the book to see the movie. I'll just have to make an exception. Or read more quickly.
